Sugar beads are beads that look as though they were rolled in granulated sugar; the fine grains on the surface of the beads are in fact tiny grains of glass (or plastic). This vintage necklace is a fun combo of sugar beads, celluloid chain, and leaves. The chain is attached to black satin twisted cording. The necklace has no clasp closure, but instead is tied on. The celluloid chain portion measures 9 inches and the whole necklace measures 28 inches. There are a few areas on the sugar beads where the grains of glass have worn off, but this is normal for this style. The necklace is a hard to describe color. It is an almost silvery light jonquil.
